Roy Sensei's New DVD

If you get a chance, help out Roy Dean Sensei and pick up his new No-Gi Essentials DVD. Get it here. All of his DVD's have been top notch in my opinion and this one should be no different!

Announcements...

Just wanted to make you guys aware of a few things:

1.) For the next month or two, Professor Busy will be volunteering on Monday and Wednesday for the Intermediate class. Coach Andres and I will be suiting up to train during this time. Please make sure you bring both gi and no gi stuff for this class. This is an excellent opportunity to train with a high level black belt and make some new friends and training partners on the mat so don't miss out!

2.) The MMA seminar with Chris Camozzi is coming up on 4/17. It will be here at the academy from 12:30-2:30. The cost will be $25 cash per person. The seminar is open to anyone, so if you know anyone who is interested please feel free to invite them. The proceeds will be going directly to Chris. Let's help him out so he can keep doing what he does best, making sure he gets into the UFC. Also, tune in on 3/31 to watch Chris on the TUF show on Spike.

3.) Isaiah Johnson, who trains at our academy, has an MMA fight (Army vs. Marines I believe) on 3/26 at the grizzly rose. We have tickets available for $25. It always helps to have your friends there when you are competing so help him out if you can.

4.) Congratulations to Gus Gustafson who won the charity bid for a private lesson with Chris Camozzi. A huge thanks to Gus and Chris who generously donated to a very worthy cause.

5.) Chase Hackett is fighting at the Tachi Palace on May 5th. When you see him around the gym training, make sure and wish him luck. If you don't know him, introduce yourself, he's a great guy!

Congratulations Todd!

Make sure you guys congratulate Todd when you see him for winning his first ever BJJ match (no gi) and taking 2nd in the gi. Great job Todd and thanks to coach Andres for spending the whole day at the tournament coaching.
